Driving from Marrakech to Casablanca: what to expect
The road
Almost the entire drive is on Autoroute A7, a modern toll motorway running north across the flat Haouz and Chaouia plains. Your driver collects you at your hotel door or the car-accessible gate nearest your riad, joins the A7 just north of the city and only leaves it at the Casablanca exits. Traffic is light until the Casablanca ring road, where weekday rush hours (roughly 8–10 am and 5–7 pm) can add 20–30 minutes.
